Talk by Professor Paul Baker

We were delighted to welcome Prof. Paul Baker from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on September 22, 2026. We were honoured to host his public lecture, “Sex Differences and Gendered Discourse on a Forum About Anxiety”, which drew a massive turnout and welcomed an enthusiastic audience from universities in Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, and overseas.

It was extremely insightful to learn how differently men and women describe their emotions, highlighting anxiety as a deeply gendered topic. We deeply appreciate Prof. Baker taking the time to share his expertise and spark such important conversations with our audience.
