Check out resources we have developed for students' entering the workplace.

ABOUT GRADUATE MINDMAP

Mindmaps are about planning—putting all our ideas down on paper. Mindmaps also help us see what we are thinking about by seeing it in writing. Here at Graduate Mindmap, we are all about planning and thinking about the future. Your future!

The last few years have been tough on all of us. It’s been hard to study effectively. It’s been difficult to find jobs. Many of us have struggled with our emotions and mental health. We’ve all even been stuck at home for a long time.

If you are a university student or recent graduate, you might have been confused and struggling to think about your future. Should I continue studying? What industry should I work in? What kinds of skills are employers looking for?

Here at Graduate Mindmap, we can help you with all these questions, and more. We are a group of researchers with expertise in language, communication, psychology, workplace mental health, career advice, and much more. This website is part of our large-scale research project examining the various impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on graduates in Hong Kong. We have surveyed and interviewed many students, graduates, employers, human resources professionals, and university staff. Our findings from this research will provide resources for you to make your transition from university into the workforce easier. This website is just part of that!

On this website, you will be able to find resources and advice—all based on real-world evidence—to help you with moving from university into the workforce. These resources range cover topics like emotions, mental health, soft skills, hard skills, training, and career selection to name a few.

Graduate Mindmap may not be a mindmap in the traditional sense. But, our goal is to provide you with the tools to plan your way forward from university and into your first full-time job.
